New York: Frederick A Praeger, 1966.

Hardcover. Very Good- with no dust jacket. Item #10650

Library stamps/marks/labels/slip residue, light tone, otherwise light wear. Solid hardcover.; "This book attempts to analyze and interpret (1) the determinants of methods and rates of payments of major oil concessions in the Middle East, and (2) the financial performance of the parties concerned. "Financial performance" is taken to mean the profits earned by the concessionaires and revenues received by the host governments. The period of study runs from 1901 - the date of signature of the first successful oil concession in the Middle East - to the present day. The period is divided analytically into three parts with respect to method of payment by concessionaires to host governments. Revenues received by the latter were first linked to integrated profits (1901-31), then to tonnage exported (1925-151), and later to production profits (since 1950)." - Introduction. ; Praeger Special Studies in International Economics and Development; Ex-Library; 358 pages.
