Edge rubbing and light creasing, light tone, otherwise light wear. Solid paperback stapled pamphlet. ; Undated, but photo of Carla of Gwynllan states 1 year old, and she was born in 1933. Gwynllan Kennels was founded by Marjorie Bourne Thayer, heiress to the Singer Sewing Machine fortune on a farm purchased in 1930, and bred Champion AKC-registered German Shepherds. Along with 3 pages describing the Kennel and its philosophy, there are 10 pages each highlighting a specific German Shepherd available for breeding. "The Foundation Stock, comprising some of the best specimens of the breed, were selected by the owners of Gwynllan Kennels with the object of combining the three essentials necessary in a desirable Shepherd, Type, Temperament and Ability. All the dogs utilized for breeding at Gwynllan Kennels must have the ability and willingness to work, otherwise they are of no value to the Gwynllan breeding objective. The aptitude of a pupil is increased according to the degree of training and education acquired by the ancestors, the policy of Gwynllan Kennels being to teach all puppies, before leaving for their new owners, the puppies' Golden Rule: To come Cheerfully when called, Heel correctly and "Platz." An interesting piece of German Shepherd breeding history.; 12+1 pages.
