Toned, otherwise light wear. Errata slip laid in. Solid hardcover. ; "Young Lawyer U N Truth's First Case is the Story of a young member of the Legal profession who, though knowing he had no case for his client, kept bluffing along with most consummate skill, tact and energy." - Foreword. "Fairbanks penned this Foreword in July 1922 for a book written by one of his cousins ... Although E W Ulman was himself a lawyer, the main character in the story, U N Truth, seems to be a very thinly veiled reference to Fairbanks' own birth father, H Charles Ulman. His father, a former Union Army captain, eminent New York attorney and Shakespearean scholar, abandoned the family when Douglas was only five years old. He later had his name legally changed to Fairbanks and rarely spoke of his father again." - Douglas Fairbanks Museum, Keri Leigh; Douglas Fairbanks: In His Own Words; page 92. ; 90 pages.
