Well regarded history of ancient Greece, by German professor Holm, written while teaching in Naples. Translated from the German work Griechische Geschichte, translators of the first three volumes are unknown, but the fourth volume was translated by Frederick Clarke who also revised the other volumes. Contents: Vol. 1. Up to the end of the sixth century, B.C.- Vol. 2. The fifth century B.C.- Vol. 3. The fourth century, B.C. up to the death of Alexander.- Vol. 4.
